How we build and acquire
Some of our companies start inside the group. Others join it. Either way they are held for the long term and keep their own name.
Build
We start a company in-house when we find an operation that still runs on guesswork and a product that could change it. The group supplies the first team, the engineering platform and the capital to reach a first market.
Acquire
We acquire or back businesses and IP that have already proven themselves in one market and need capital, engineering depth or reach to grow.
Own and operate
We hold for the long term. The company keeps its brand, its customers and its leadership, and adopts the group's governance, security and data standards.
Extend
When something works in one industry or country, the group takes it to the next, through introductions, shared engineering and its own companies.
What we look for
If your business fits most of these, we would like to hear from you.
- A product that makes a physical operation visible and directs what happens next
- Proof in at least one market: paying customers or a completed pilot
- IP that can be owned outright
- A team that wants to keep building inside a larger group
- A clear route into another industry or country
What stays with the company
Its name, its customer relationships and its day-to-day leadership. The group's job is to make the company stronger in its market, not to absorb it.
What the group adds
Long-term capital, a shared engineering and data platform, data protection and security programmes, legal support and introductions across the industries and countries the group works in.
